Namibia – Land of endless horizons
Our team member, Manuela Schmidt, recently spent 9 days exploring the beautiful vastness of Namibia. Warm and welcoming people, spectacular sceneries and luxurious lodges qualify this country for a spot on everybody’s bucket list. Namibia only has 2.2 million inhabitants, which leaves most of the country to the bush and wilderness. Bizarre rock formations, petrified forests, wild roaming desert elephants, the Namib Desert which flows into the wild Atlantic Ocean, as well as the historical town of Swakopmund will fascinate every visitor for a lifetime.
We recommend the luxurious Okonjima Bush Camp as one of the gems to stay at when visiting Namibia. Only 2.5 hours north of Windhoek, the Okonjima Game Reserves lies conveniently located halfway between the city and Etosha National Park. The reserve is also home to the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides environmental education programs for the youth of Namibia with the goal to protect the wild roaming cheetahs. This Luxury Bush Camp provides nine exclusive chalets, each offering an incredible view into the surrounding bush. Here, guests enjoy complete privacy and have the freedom to unwind in their own Sala. Furthermore, morning and evening game drives as well as a visit to the Africat Foundation offer the opportunity to get closer to cheetahs, leopards and other wildlife and learn about their behaviour.
Namibia is a great ‘self-drive’ destination, Etosha National Park, Damaraland and the Namib Desert are waiting to be discovered. Contact us under +27 (0) 21 433 0526 or firstname.lastname@example.org to feel the magic Namibias yourself.
